In the post Teaching Online – A Guide to Theory, Research, and Practice by Claire Howell Major, I have noticed that all instructors and professors consider that discussions, online posts, and comments is quite essential. First, it allows professors have an idea of every student’s progress in this class and second, it also allows peers in the same class can share their thoughts and leave it online so that everyone else could have a look at it anytime in any location. I have also noticed that every professor is trying to deliver their knowledge and the class contents from different perspectives and platforms. For example, some professor will choose to make a post to have every students to reading, some professor will record audios and videos of lectures for people to listen, and also there are professors that will make a white board animation, which every approach above is to help student to better understand the concept and have an better learning experience.

There is one thing that brought to my attention and makes me wonder, which is that professors is also in an student position, what I mean by that is professors are always learning how to better deliver their knowledge and help students to understand the course content in an more propriety and more efficient way while teaching, they will do researches and analyze different ways of teaching and try out to approach better teaching methods, which I personally really appreciated, thanks to responsible professors, I get chance to learn more things and have better learning experience.

So far the best thing that I have learned in this course is the usage of WordPress, this blog platform is very easy to use and it is really helpful in learning. For example, I can create a new blog and either publish my own thought on the course content by myself or I can also easily create a new collaboration blog site with one same account and invite my peers in the same class to working on a same topic and publish our work as a group, which everyone is able to edit the blogpost.  Another reason that I will definitely apply WordPress in my teaching is that it is a open learning platform which student could have access to all post from different students even from different countries, and student is also sharing their thoughts with the public, which student also got a chance to communicate and discuss certain question with the mass, everyone who have a internet connection could share their idea on student’s post, which helps students to absorb knowledges that professors could have missed in the course.
